The Beach in December... Nothing Like Christmas in July

We went to Waycross, Ga to help our friends Rudy and Rachelle move all of their belongings down there. When we arrived the trailer was emptied within the hour, and we had all day Saturday to figure out what to do with ourselves. So we smushed everyone in our truck, Rudy, Chris, Rachelle, Jeremiah, and myself, and went to Jeckyll Island. We had a blast! When Jeremiah saw the Ocean for the very first time, he wasn't the least bit hesitant! He went running for the water. To watch him look out at the ocean, it reminded me of a verse that God has really been using in my life lately. Not so ironically found in the book of Jeremiah chapter 2 verse 19. Now if you read this you might find it a little disconcerting. Basically it is talking about the evil of this world, in relation to all God has done for his people. It is a rebuke saying that we must have awe of God, because HE is the Lord Almighty! I saw that awe in my sons' eyes as he looked out over the water, and it ran up in waves on his legs. He was utterly fascinated. What wonder we lack as we grow older. What a challenge to me!

Helloooooo music town

We went to Nashville in August for my cousin Chris's (yes another one) wedding. Since there wasnt much to do the day of the wedding we decided to take a trip over to Lane Motor museum. There were all kinds of cool old cars, and little cars, and foreign cars, and... well, you get the drift. These pictures are Jeremiah playing in one of their kids pedal cars. He didn't quite grasp the concept. Chris, my brother, was pushing him, while Chris, his dad, was looking at some of the super groovy cars.

Aint nothin better

Then a slice of cold green apples on a summer day. Jeremiah is old enough now to play with friends. Here are a few pictures of Atom and Jeremiah when Mariana and I took them to the pool for the day. Now if Georgia could decide whether it is going to be hot or cold, that would be really nice! The warm days have me anticipating summer way too early.

A Day at the ballpark. How could we possibly miss Isaac's first game of the season!?! One day Jeremiah will play ball too! Right now we are just getting him warmed up for his future baseball career :)
